How many driving lessons will I need?
It varies with every learner. The DVSA suggests around 45 hours of professional tuition alongside private practice, but plenty of our students pass in less. After your first lesson we will give you an honest estimate based on how you drive, and we will keep reviewing it as you progress.
Do you teach automatic as well as manual?
Yes. We teach both manual and automatic. Automatic tends to suit learners who want to pass sooner or who find clutch control stressful, and it is a popular choice with nervous drivers.
I am a nervous driver. Can you help?
Absolutely, and it is what our students mention most often in their reviews. First lessons start on quiet residential roads and we move at your pace, never faster than you are comfortable with.
What happens in the first lesson?
We pick you up from home, work or university, check your provisional licence and eyesight, then head somewhere quiet. You will get to grips with the controls, moving off and stopping. No pressure, and no assumption that you have driven before.
I passed a while ago. Can I have refresher lessons?
Yes. Plenty of our students already hold a licence but have not driven in years, or have lost confidence after a break or a knock. Refresher lessons start wherever you actually are, with no assumptions and no judgement, and you can book as few or as many as you need.
Do you offer Pass Plus?
Yes, we are a Pass Plus provider. Pass Plus is the post-test course covering motorways, dual carriageways, night driving and all weather conditions. It builds real confidence once the test is behind you, and many insurers offer a discount for it.
What car will I learn in?
Toyota Corolla manual, Toyota CHR for automatic
Can you work around my job or studies?
Yes. Lesson times are flexible, including evenings and weekends, and we pick you up from home, work or university. Tell us what your week looks like and we will fit around it.
Do you offer intensive courses?
Yes. If you have a deadline such as a new job or a course starting, we can arrange an intensive course to get you test-ready faster. Get in touch and we will put a plan together.
What is your cancellation policy?
48 hours notice is required for any changes or cancellations. It lets us offer the slot to another student rather than leaving it empty.
